Due to the nature of scheduling, the full team wasn’t assembled.

That was expected.

The purpose wasn’t performance. It was orientation.

The music already existed and the job was simple... learn parts, understand cues, get comfortable.

Tom was getting his hands back after time away from live performance... playing a newly purchased and revived Telecaster.

Kohei was there learning, adjusting, and getting more comfortable inside a live team environment.

Laz was keeping things moving along.

Nothing dramatic happened.

Nobody stopped and thought... this could become something

That’s probably because trust was already there.

It was expectedly good.

No surprise.

Maybe that sounds strange, but this project doesn’t feel fragile.

This ship is going to sail either way.

Nothing polished. Raw.

Just records.

Robin had been releasing music under the name for years... tracks built more for listening rooms, clubs, DJs, and movement. The music was already there.

This version is different.

This is the live band.

The idea didn’t arrive all at once. A few conversations in March became a few more. @Cavalier.Sound slowed down after members moved away. Robin and I both missed live performance. Jeju already has a music scene and it keeps growing, but there is still room for people willing to build something and perform well.

Eventually the conversations became...

let’s just do this and have a good time doing it.

Part of starting this archive now is practical.

Too many photos, videos, ideas, and stories from previous projects ended up sitting on hard drives until nobody looked at them again.

There are always things around music that disappear first...

The small things disappear first.

This archive exists partly so they don’t.

Maybe people leaving a show... musicians included... should feel like they were part of something temporary, difficult to repeat, and worth remembering.

If that happens, the work is probably worth it.

For now this is only a record.
